Choose Your
Maui Wedding Ceremony
- Great marriages are usually built upon strong
commitments. You want a Maui wedding ceremony that will touch your hearts but
which will also strengthen your commitment to each other. It should be
worded to reflect your special feelings for each other as well as your
personal beliefs.
-
-
If you desire a Maui Catholic wedding the priests
on the island all require that you get married in their respective
churches. For Jewish
weddings, there is one orthodox rabbi on
Maui but there are also several lay wedding performers.
Whatever your desires, we have contacts to provide you with the type of
Maui wedding officiant you desire.

Maui Wedding Minister: Rev. John Souter
-
 -
- The minister we use most is Rev. John Souter, president and founder
of Maui Me, Inc. John is a licensed non-denominational minister who
has been performing weddings for over 33 years.
-
- He
has a warm disposition and will put you at ease before, during and
after the ceremony. If you're nervous, he'll probably have you
laughing. He talks from the heart and you will quickly see that he
truly enjoys performing marriages for our wedding couples.
-
- John
will take a personal interest in you. He loves to asks couples how
they met and hear their romantic stories. If you would like to
read more about his philosophy take a look at the following link:
Maui Wedding Minister John Souter.
-
- John
usually dresses informally in "aloha wear," but he can also
wear a white robe (see picture above) if you prefer a more formal
look. If you would like to read any of his Maui wedding ceremonies, you can read
them using the following links:

- Other Maui Ministers
-
- If Rev. John Souter is unavailable, we
also have many other Maui ministers that we use. These include
non-denominational, Hawaiian ministers, judges, and Christian
ministers. Please tell us what type of service and minister you are
looking for when you.

Your Hawaii Wedding License
-
- There are three things that the State of Hawaii
requires to be married on Maui: 1) a State of Hawaii Marriage
license, 2) an officiant licensed by the state to perform the
ceremony, and 3) witnesses.
-
- You will need an appointment with the marriage
license agent. Unless you are flying in on a weekend, we recommend that
you go immediately to get your license right after you arrive. The cost
of this license is currently $65 and it must be paid in cash. We will set up
your appointment for you and give you directions to the license
office that is closet to your Maui hotel or condo.
