Maui Wedding Caterer

This Saturday we are providing Maui Wedding Catering for a couple who is celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. Their kids have contracted with us and our caterer to have a beach ceremony, Maui wedding photography, an arch and caterering for their parents.

We just put a brand new page up on our website which features our awesome Maui Wedding Caterer. We have known him since he first came to Maui about six years ago and have done a lot of weddings together. He is the perfect caterer for our Maui wedding couples. Now why do I say that?

To begin with, his food is great. Obviously, that's the most important thing you want from your Maui wedding caterer: Good Food. John and I him do a Dinner on the Beach for us at our anniversary a couple of years back and his food was awesome. We both were very pleased at the food and the service we received.

Then there is his dependability. Some companies just don't follow through. But we know that we can trust our caterer to do the very best job. He comes through for us and you can't put a price tag on that. I would much rather work with people that I can trust then with those who you cannot trust (as it was with a previous caterer on Maui).

He is friendly. Our Maui wedding caterer is a likeable guy. All of our wedding couples tell us afterwards how much they like him and how good of a job he did. I've learned over the years that people do business with people that they like. And that is one Big Reason, our caterer is so successful.

He is honest. Again, I can't say that for every caterer on Maui. We have definitely had so dealings with other companies that soured us on doing any repeat business. That's all behind us now, because this caterer is honest and we love him for that quality.

He is not expensive. This is very important to many of our couples. They usually don't have money to burn, and our Maui wedding caterer offers a great service at a fair price.

Recently I bid on a wedding which included a Maui reception dinner along with another Maui wedding company. The client told me that our price was higher but it was very thorough. He was impressed. Then he discovered that our competition had failed to tell him of the hidden charges (for flatware, tables, chairs, etc.), and he realized that not only was our price really Less Expensive, we knew what we were doing (more than the competiting wedding company). In short, we got the job because our Maui wedding caterer prices his services reasonably.

So if your looking to do a Maui Wedding Reception you should probably take a look at our site and give us a ring.

Hawaii Wedding Planning

John just finished (last week) in updating a Hawaii Wedding Planning page in our 1st Choice Maui Wedding site. In fact, he re-did the entire website. This site gives our couples a little different slant on our Maui weddings business and I think there are a lot of good things on it.

When you visit the site, don't forget to take a look at the Hawaii Wedding Planner Site Map which is similar to our new site map on our Maui Me site, but still different as well.

We are working hard at trying to get found better in the search engines so that our exciting Maui wedding planning service won't get lost in the shuffle. With all of the Internet competition, somethings its difficult to show up on Google and that's what we're working on.

Maui Weddings Site Map

I'm pleased to announce that John has updated our Maui Weddings site and has added a lot of new information. He has reorganized the entire site, paying particular attention to linking. Probably the most important new feature is a brand new Maui Weddings Site Map. This page gives a great overview and links to all the many web pages, articles and Maui wedding photographs on our Mau Me website.

We hope to add a lot of new photographs of our Maui Weddings as what's on our site is really quite dated. We've shot so much great photography, especially digital images, and we're anxious to get more of them up on the website. As you can imagine, that's always a big project, especially considering the size of our website. It's somehow hard to find the right shot for the right page. But we'll keep at it.

Hawaii Wedding Planner

John has just finished updating our sister site, which is 1st Choice Maui Weddings. This site is our Hawaii Wedding Planner site and offers the same great price values on our packages as you'll find here on Maui Me ( www.maui-me.com ). In reality, the packages are the same on both sites, they've just been re-named.

With the tremendous competition in our marketplace for Hawaii weddings, we felt it would be a good idea to have several different websites that would make it easier for our Hawaii wedding couples to find us. Of course, this Maui Me website is our "flag ship" and has much more on it than our other web sites -- including, of course, my Maui Wedding Planner Blog ;>)

The 1st choice site does have a new (and improved) Hawaii Wedding Planner Site Map. John hopes to put up a site map on our Maui Me site soon.

Maui Nanny: Connection for Hawaii

My daughter Rebecca has recently updated her website and has added several pages.

These include a Hawaii Nanny Site Map page.
An article giving six reasons why a couple should probably not want to bring their own nanny from the mainland, Your Own Nanny?
A page of quotes from satisfied parents, at Maui Nanny Testimonial Quotes.
And a Maui Nanny Links page.

As always we are excited about the service she offers for our Maui wedding couples and want to support her in the growth of her business.

Maui Wedding Planner with a Sense of Humor

Before the weekend, one of our Maui wedding couples "checked in" to let me know how they had arrived and to give me their room number. I always appreciate it when couples do this.

(Some couples they arrive on the island and don't contact us at all. To make sure that they got here we sometimes have to call their hotel (or condo), and we've even been known to check with the Hawaii wedding license agent to make sure they arrived for their appointment).

This groom called the morning of the couple's planned wedding, but surprised me by saying that he and his fiance had had a big argument and they had decided not to get married! They were going to cancel the wedding.

Of course, my heart dropped. This certainly wouldn't be the first time a wedding couple had split on the day of their wedding. But I didn't hear any emotion in his voice. I didn't want to say, "Are you kidding with me" if indeed, they had really broken up, so I waited a few moments and the groom said, "Just joking with you."

He was pleased that he "had me going." And so I told him, "I owed him one."

I told my husband about his joke, and not long after he performed the wedding ceremony, John told the couple with a really straight face: "I have good news and I have bad news." They looked up at him seriously.

"The bad news is that ceremony wasn't legal." He paused. "The good news is . . . I got a great deal on my auto insurance from Geigo!" It was then that the groom new he had his just reward for his earlier kidding in the day.

We enjoy our wedding couples and often have fun with them in such ways. Of course, it all depends upon the couple and their sense of humor, but we definitely have a good time with our Maui wedding couples.

Maui Wedding Vow Renewals

Maui Wedding Vow Renewals

Sometimes we get asked, “do you do Maui Vow Renewals?” The answer to that is most definitely YES. We do them all the time. In fact, my husband John has FOUR Maui vow renewal ceremonies. Similar to his regular Maui wedding ceremonies, he has a Spiritual Maui Vow Renewal Ceremony, a Contemporary Maui Vow Renewal Ceremony, and a Christian Maui Vow Renewal Ceremony .

But John also added a newer ceremony which isn’t on our website that he performed for a fun couple from Georgia which we did earlier this week. He does that ceremony for couples who have been married for a while and who have kids. I really like that ceremony because it emphasizes a couple’s “legacy” that they are leaving for their children. I’ll put that ceremony up in my blog so that you can read it yourself.

Maui Wedding Testimonial

We get so many nice comments about our Maui wedding planner services from our many couples that we've start asking them to write 'em down so that I can share them in my blog. We did a Maui wedding for a couple earlier this week who had so many nice things to say that I asked her to write a quote. Kimberly told me she's "hard at work on it" even though they haven't left Maui yet. So, I'll put that in one of my upcoming blogs.

But here's a nice quote that just came to me by e-mail from Rachel and Dan Roberts. She says:

"Dan and I loved our Maui wedding ceremony. Everything was perfect -- Susan's recommendations were flawless. We didn't have to do anything except show up.

"Our friends and faimly raved over our photos and video. The video was very professionally done and the pictures were amazing. We were extremely pleased with both.

"Thanks again for everything!"
